 Flushing Meadows Corona Park Summer Volunteer Days

Thank you so much for helping us in the past. The Boy Scouts who have volunteered in our park have been some of our most hard-working volunteers! Flushing Meadows Corona Park Stewardship will be holding two volunteer events in July.


Sunday, July 9th  Gardening Day at Meadow Lake
Garden with us to continue the restoration of the Meadow Lake Boathouse planting beds. Help add the bright and blooming native flowers that will bring smiles to FMCP’s visitors, pollinators, and birds!
Date: Sunday, July 9th
Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Meet at Meadow Lake Boathouse
What to know: Please wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Bring water and a small snack.


Sunday, July 23rd Puncheon Building at Willow Lake
Build wooden puncheons (10ft boardwalk) that will be installed to improve the wet sections of the Pat Dolan Trail. For this event volunteers must be 16 years or older.
Date: Sunday, July 23rd
Time: 10:00am-3:00pm
Location: Meet at Mauro Playground
What to wear: Please wear sturdy shoes and long pants. Bring water and a small snack
*For July 23rd’s Puncheon Building event volunteers must be 16 or older to participate.
